Griter engineers planning a custom IoT project

"Can you build something for this?" is how most of our projects start — not a spec sheet, a problem. Here's exactly what happens between that first message and the day your dashboard goes live, all handled by our team in Penang.

Stage 1 — Discovery & Feasibility

We start with a discovery call, on-site where possible. Our engineers walk your facility, ask about the failure modes you're trying to catch, and check what connectivity and power are actually available. This stage ends with a feasibility note and a rough budget range, before you commit to anything.

Stage 2 — Design & Prototyping

Once scope is agreed, we design the sensor and system architecture — what to measure, how to power it, and how data reaches your dashboard. A working prototype is built and tested in the exact conditions it will face, not a lab bench approximation.

Stage 3 — Production, Firmware & Assembly

With the prototype validated, our firmware engineers finalise the embedded software while our production line assembles and quality-checks every unit. Because both teams sit under one roof, a firmware change never waits on a separate hardware vendor.

Stage 4 — Installation, Dashboard Handover & Support

Our own technicians install and commission the system on-site, anywhere in Malaysia. We walk your team through the web dashboard and mobile app, then move into an ongoing support plan covering monitoring, firmware updates and hardware maintenance.

"Most SMEs don't need a bigger vendor list — they need one team that owns the whole problem." — Griter Engineering Team

Most projects move through all four stages in 4-8 weeks, depending on how custom the hardware needs to be. If you have a problem you haven't been able to solve with an off-the-shelf sensor, that's exactly the kind of project we like starting with a discovery call.
